(San Antonio) – With more than a decade of practical experience in custom web development across a variety of industries, Robot Creative is proud to announce the promotion of Ricky Ramirez to Interactive Team Lead. A custom programmer by training, Ramirez has been the technical architect for numerous award-winning custom websites during his tenure at Robot, including Mind Science, ThreadFix, Computer Solutions and Sea Island Shrimp House.
This new position will place Ramirez in a leadership role, overseeing staff, projects and processes and will allow him to take his natural ability to lead to the next level. “Ricky’s commitment to our team and genius technical skills made it a no-brainer when we started looking for the next generation of leadership at Robot Creative,” said Lara August, CEO. “He already has the respect of his teammates and clients. This is just a natural next step for his career.”
Over the past eight years at the creative firm, Ramirez has worked closely with clients to complete website projects from start to finish, including developing of custom WordPress sites, integrating with third party solutions, and conducting web training for client teams. In recent years, Ricky has become an integral part of the sales consulting process, identifying technical solutions and scoping projects to meet each client’s unique needs.
Always training and keeping ahead of the curve on the latest website application technologies, Ramirez is well versed on several different content management platforms and web systems, and he has become an expert in custom WordPress theme and plugin development. Other skills mastered while at Robot include incorporating a modern WebDev Stack in a WordPress environment and interfacing with dozens of different Sales and MarTech integrations from Google to Salesforce to HubSpot and more.
Ramirez relies on his technical education, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from St. Mary’s University. He has in-depth experience with everything from basic HTML to Visual C++ and SQL languages. An oddity in the development world, he also understands content creation and management due to his experience working at Southwest Assemblies of God University in Dallas as a digital marketing manager. This skill has been put to use with a collaborative role such as his, working closely with the design and marketing departments at Robot Creative.
When asked why he enjoys working at Robot Creative, Ramirez said, “It’s about being heard. When I first joined the firm, I was hoping to find a smaller organization where every voice mattered and where everyone worked together to produce great work. I found that at Robot Creative. I work with a very skilled and supportive team. Robot has been great in providing an environment that allowed me to grow, both personally and in my career.”
