GEAR Internship

Graphic Exchange At ROBOT

A DIFFERENT KIND OF INTERNSHIP

Many agencies and creative firms use unpaid student interns to work on paid client projects. We feel this is unethical treatment for students and clients alike, but we strongly believe in mentorship and the need to give back to the community. In 2003, the GEAR Program (Graphic Exchange at ROBOT) was born to help meet the needs of students while serving the larger community.

Each summer, ROBOT selects a number of non-profit organizations to receive complimentary logo design from senior-level design students.

It is a mutually beneficial relationship. The non-profits receive extensive design work that may otherwise be out of budget, and the design interns gain real career experience that will be invaluable after graduation. ROBOT Art Directors work with the students and the non-profits using our processes and methods to ensure the quality of work.
