Brand Positioning | Website Design & Development | Interior Branding
Mueller & Wilson is a B2B mechanical construction and service company specializing in industrial plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, metal fabrication and piping systems. The company serves complex facilities where reliability, safety and long-term performance are non-negotiable. As the business continued to scale, leadership recognized a challenge common to many growing companies: the brand infrastructure had not kept up. What began as a request for messaging support quickly evolved into a broader brand and website initiative with Robot Creative.
Like many established B2B service companies, Mueller & Wilson had a brand and website ready for a refresh. The mechanical construction website was built on a proprietary CMS that limited flexibility and made updates difficult. Navigation and service structure did not align with how buyers searched for mechanical construction and service providers. Messaging had not been formally developed to speak to the specific priorities of key decision-makers like Facilities Directors and Maintenance Managers. The business needed clearer brand positioning, stronger messaging and a modern website platform built to support growth.
The primary goals were to clarify brand positioning, define mission and core values, and create messaging that resonated with key B2B decision-makers. Mueller & Wilson also needed a modern mechanical service website that functioned as a credible lead-generation and communication tool, along with interior branding that reinforced the company’s identity and culture for employees and visitors.
ROBOT began with audience research and competitive analysis, benchmarking Mueller & Wilson against other mechanical construction companies in the market. Audience profiles were developed for key buyer roles including Plant Maintenance Managers and Directors of Facilities and Operations. These insights informed a clear brand positioning framework, a defined mission and core values, and messaging that addressed operational pain points, safety expectations and reliability standards common in industrial environments.
The outdated proprietary CMS was replaced with a Squarespace-based mechanical construction website using a custom theme. The new structure prioritized clear service definitions, improved navigation and industry-specific pages aligned with how buyers search. The result was a site that makes it easier for prospects to find, understand and engage with the business.
To reinforce the brand internally, ROBOT designed and installed mission and core values signage, shop banners and branded wayfinding throughout the Mueller & Wilson facility. These elements aligned with updated brand guidelines and created a consistent experience for employees, vendors and customers alike.

“When we first contacted Robot Creative we were planning on updating our website and nothing more. Robot Creative introduced us to the idea of a full branding strategy. Their process helped us think beyond a website and consider the bigger picture of how our brand is defined and marketed. The result is a more cohesive professional presence that better reflects who we are as an organization.”
