The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country connects donors with meaningful causes across 10 Central Texas counties, funding nonprofits and awarding academic scholarships in the region. For an organization whose mission depends on inspiring confidence and generosity, the annual report is one of its most important communications tools — and theirs was produced in-house and ready for an upgrade. Beyond the visual quality, producing the report internally was a significant time drain for a team whose focus belongs on community programs, and The Community Foundation needed a creative partner who could bring both design execution and concept thinking to the table.
our approach
ROBOT has designed and produced The Community Foundation’s annual report every year since 2018. The designs center on visual storytelling: a central idea carried through every decision, from cover photography and color palette to layout architecture and typography. Photography, financial summaries, grant highlights, scholarship stories and donor recognition are all integrated into a layout system that guides the reader through the foundation’s year in a way that feels curated rather than compiled. The goal every year is the same: turn a compliance document into a communications asset that The Community Foundation can hand to donors and community leaders with pride.
