Robot Creative’s CEO, Lara August, served as a judge for the Alamo Heights Business Incubator Pitch Night on May 4th, 2023 at the Alamo Heights High School. Six student teams competed for over $23,000 in prize money to provide early funding for their start ups.
“I am so impressed by the quality of the business ideas and pitches,” says Lara August. “These students clearly put in the work, because their presentations rival the professional pitches that I have seen. I can’t wait to see where thee companies are in a year.”

The winning teams were:
Refilament – First Place and $10,000 Winners
War Bands – Second Place and $8,000 Winners
Rising Chef – Third Place and $5,000 Winners
The Alamo Heights Business Incubator is in it’s 5th year. Students in the program spend the year developing an idea, launching a company and working with mentors to gain as much traction as possible in preparation for the pitch event in the spring.
Lara August, Robot Creative’s CEO, serves as a mentor for several area entrepreneurship programs.
