“Robot Creative: 25 Years of Branding” is a hardcover, 8.5” x 8.5” square-format coffee table book celebrating a quarter century of logo design by Robot Creative. Spanning 76 full-color pages printed on premium 80# paper, the book showcases 180 original logos created for clients across industries, along with 11 detailed brand-application spreads. Designed by Andrew Watson, with an introduction by founder Lara August, the book captures the evolution of logo design that has stood the test of time.
This collection features branding work for companies across the U.S., with many notable San Antonio clients such as Beldon, Santikos, The St. Anthony, The Baptist Health Foundation and the San Antonio Philharmonic. Rather than representing a single design “style,” the collection demonstrates the depth and adaptability of Robot Creative’s team. Each logo is uniquely crafted to reflect the essence of the business it represents.
The book underscores the timelessness of great design. Although the work spans more than 25 years, through dramatic changes in design trends and technology, many of the earliest logos remain in use today, unchanged. Together, these works celebrate the enduring power of thoughtful, strategic logo design.
The book features work from many talented Robot designers. Through creation of this book, we celebrate the art and principles behind great logo design along with 25 years of Robot Creative.
“This book is really a celebration of entrepreneurship and creativity.
It’s kind of awesome to look back at the past 25 years and see all of the clients, large and small, that we have had the privilege to work with and who trusted us to help shape their brand story.”
— Lara August
“I often get asked which logo is my favorite, but there’s no one winner
What I’m most proud of is the diversity of styles across all the logos we’ve designed and execution that aligns with each brand’s goals.”
— Andrew Watson
