One Cypress Energy is a midstream oil and gas firm that specializes in crude oil marketing and logistics. The company was founded in 2011 by longtime oil and gas veterans, and sets itself apart in the midstream space through its broad experience and extensive network of industry partners. Faced with a downturn in the crude oil sector, One Cypress Energy expanded its service offerings in 2015 to include outsourced and advisory solutions, designed to help struggling firms maintain operations in a difficult market.
One Cypress Energy approached ROBOT for help developing collateral materials to introduce its new line of advisory solutions. Drawing inspiration from the firm’s logo and corporate colors, ROBOT expanded One Cypress Energy’s brand aesthetic with a striking case document and trade show materials that not only communicated the firm’s advisory solutions, but also helped to solidify the firm’s visual branding.
One Cypress Energy then enlisted ROBOT to develop its new corporate website. Designed to serve as the cornerstone of a multifaceted marketing campaign, the firm’s new site would be reimagined from the ground up. Anchored by an eye-catching homepage video, the new site employed a bold aesthetic uncommon in the midstream space. ROBOT’s development team optimized the site for viewing on a variety of devices, with a responsive infrastructure to ensure easy viewing on desktop, tablet, and mobile. The new site was built on the search engine-friendly WordPress platform, and ROBOT provided additional search engine optimization services to further raise the site’s organic visibility.

With the firm’s new site launched, One Cypress Energy wanted to market their services more aggressively. Working alongside the client, ROBOT helped identify short and long-term goals, and developed a comprehensive digital and content marketing strategy to help the firm reach these goals.
Included in this strategy was a robust digital advertising program that included both Google AdWords and animated display ads. Designed to point back to the new web site, the plan also included monthly blogs and eBlasts, public relations support, as well as LinkedIn social posting and advertising. ROBOT also developed native content for targeted distribution in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.
