Charles E. Zech is a litigator - a real shark.
It was a challenge to try and pull off a logo using sharks in a field so conservative that clip art scales, lady justice and columns seem to be the only legal symbols with which to work.
Charles Zech wanted to appear aggressive and ferocious, and the shark is a superbly modern way to go about it. The humor was tamed with the classical rendering and font which perfectly imitates the fins, making it more stately and reminiscent of old stamps or crests which often contain animals or beasts.
The logo works well in several different arrangements.
